SOC 588 - Sociology of Work/Organization(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): Grad course eligibility for undergraduates: credits earned greater than or equal
to 144 and gpa 2.75 OR level is graduate. Introduction to the sociology of work in contemporary society. Analysis of the meaning of work for men and women and of the different experiences of work in specific occupations. Topics include the organization of the workplace, the relationship between work and family, work and gender, and the effects of social policy on workers and employers.
