ECE 416 - Social Studies Instruction in Preschool and the Primary Grades

[3 credit(s)]
Prerequisite(s): EDB 241, EDB 242, ECE 300. Minimum GPA of 2.50. Must be admitted into the Early Childhood program. Objectives, principles, trends, materials and current practices for teaching social studies and fostering social development in early childhood education. This course will focus on developmentally appropriate content and strategies for introducing young children to the study of history, geography, economics, and other social sciences.
