ECE 527 - Science Instruction and Assessment in Grades 4 & 5[3 credit(s)]
Prerequisite: Must already have a valid PK-3 teaching license.
Introduction to science content, instruction and assessment in upper elementary settings; provides background and principles of science education, emphasis on 4th/5th science content and state standards, plus instructional planning, methods and materials, integration of technology, nature of current research in science education and its role in guiding science instruction and assessment, best practices in science education and a philosophy for teaching science.
