ETE 812 - Educational Technology in Chinese Language Instruction[4 credit(s)]
This course is intended for educators who are currently or will be involved in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Its purpose is to introduce a wide variety of technological tools that may be used to enhance Chinese language instruction, and to explore research related to this issue. Each class will consist of a combination of lecture, demonstration, student discussion, and student hands-on activities. Topics to be covered will include: use of Microsoft Office with Chinese character sets; Web 2.0 applications in the Chinese language classroom; design principles for incorporating technology into instruction; and research on educational technology in Chinese language instruction.
