ANT 440 - Southwest Field Experience(6 credits) Prerequisite(s): ANT 366 , Native Peoples of the Southwest and permission of instructor. This course provides the curricular foundations for the supervised field experience in anthropology, a program that is offered annually in the second six-week summer session. There is a two-week orientation and preparation on campus followed by a four-week stay in the Southwest (New Mexico and Arizona), where students experience tourism in Native American communities.
