BIO 472 - Wetland Ecology(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): BIO 300 and 304, or equivalents, or permission of instructor, are prerequisites for this course. A study of the interaction of physical, geochemical, and biological components of wetland ecosystems. Adaptations of organisms in wetland ecosystems and community interactions are emphasized. Field and laboratory study give students experience in inquiry-based activities involving data collection and analyses used in wetland ecology. Techniques in wetland characterization and delineation are covered.
