EST 378 - Practicum:Mod/Severe Edu Needs(4 credits)
Prerequisite(s): Must be a declared major or be enrolled as a post-baccalaureate student; must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50, a 2.75 in all professional education courses, and have completed all prerequisite work. University-supervised field experience designed to provide extended, guided practice in working with students with mental retardation, multiple disabilities, and/or emotional disturbances. Requires four half-days per week in a state-approved unit that serves students with moderate/intensive educational needs working under the direction of a cooperating teacher; includes seminar. Required for licensure as a Moderate/Intensive Intervention Specialist.
