Minor-Field Requirements

Minimum hours required for the minor: 15

Students obtaining a minor in OSM must satisfy the requirements in levels 1 and 2 below.

Level 1

Any two of the following three courses:

BUS 201 - Applied Business Statistics
OSM 202 - Introduction to Business Analytics
OSM 311 - Introduction To Operations Management

Note(s):

These three courses can be waived based upon proof of prior equivalent course work. Normally, these prior courses should not be taken more than five years before the declaration of the OSM minor.

Level 2

At least 9 credit hours from OSM elective courses (not including OSM 311 ).

OSM 431 - Design of Survey Samples using SAS
OSM 433 - Data Analysis using SAS
OSM 434 - Multivariate Business Analytics using SAS
OSM 435 - Applied Business Forecasting
OSM 438 - International Field Experience in Supply Chain Management
OSM 442 - Innovation Management
OSM 445 - Quality Management
OSM 448 - Queuing & Simulation
OSM 490 - Professional Internship in Operations & Supply Chain Management
OSM 491 - Special Problems
OSM 493 - Special Topics in Operations Management
