ALD 802 - Advanced Seminar in Adult Learning and Development(4-0-4 credits) This course is required for Leadership and Lifelong Learning students in the PhD in Urban Education, and it will allow students to examine and analyze the nature and function of adult education in society, focusing on topics and programs such as literacy programs, non-profit organizations that focus on social justice, literacy, ABLE & GED programs, higher education, and human resource and organizational development in business, education, industry, government, social services, and voluntary organizations. Theoretical and research literature related to the field of adult education will be analyzed and discussed. Students must have completed ALD 800 and ALD 801 prior to registering for ALD 802.
