ART 565 - Northern Renaissance Art(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): check for undergrad in grad course; no cer or pb. This course covers art produced in northern Europe (England, France, Germany, and the Netherlands) from c. 1400 through c. 1600. It is focused on three major issues: the changing social role of the artist and the work of art; the development and impact of print making technologies; and the impact of the Protestant Reformation.
