CHE 510 - Structure of Materials

Prerequisite(s): Restriction for undergraduates in graduate courses and enrolled in the college of Engineering Prerequisite: Graduate standing in chemical or civil engineering, or permission of instructor. Basic principles determining the atomic and crystal structures of materials. Topics include instrumental and structural analysis techniques, evolution of microstructures (phases/phase diagrams), processing (diffusive, solidification, mechanical working) techniques and their influence on microstructures.
