EDL 504 - Literacy Development(4 credits)
Prerequisite(s): EDL 503; must be admitted as a graduate student to be eligible for this course. Includes a supervised practice in teaching reading and writing with emphasis given to the preparation, analysis, and evaluation of individualized instructional programs based on case-study evaluation. Approaches of developing positive attitudes towards and strategies aimed at overcoming difficulties in reading and writing development. Includes a supervised practical teaching experience with a client and preparation of a progress report. Required for reading endorsement.
