EEC 580 - Modern Digital Design

(4 credits)

Prerequisite(s): Restriction for undergraduates in graduate courses and enrolled in the college of Engineering Prerequisite: Graduate standing. Overview of modern digital design methodology and CAD tools, VHDL description for combinational and sequential logic, VHDL description for state machine, VHDL description for RTL design, synthesis and implementation using CPLD/FPGA devices. No graduate credit for students who have completed EEC 480.
