Prerequisite(s): Grad course eligibility for undergraduates: credits earned greater than or equal to 144 and gpa 2.75 OR level is graduate. Essentials of practical criticism with emphasis on close reading of selected masterworks that represent various genres and historical contexts. Core course required of all M.A. candidates. Offered fall semester.
