Prerequisite(s): Grad course eligibility for undergraduates: credits earned greater than or equal to 144 and gpa 2.75 OR level is graduate. Authors, themes, or movements of significance in African-American literature. Topics include slave narratives, Harlem renaissance, literature of the 1950s, and African-American women authors. May be repeated with change of topic.
