ESE 515 - Assessing Young Children(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): ESE 503 or ESE 501; non-degree graduate students must obtain departmental permission Provides a basic understanding of the components of developmental screening, child assessment, child identification, and program evaluation for children at-risk and those with disabilities from birth through age eight. Assessment and evaluation focus on child and family variables. Construction of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) are stressed. Required for licensure as an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist.
