EST 587 - Stu Teaching Mild/Mod Dis

(4 credits)
Prerequisite(s): Must be enrolled as a graduate student in the College of Education, have completed all prerequisite and/or corequisite courses, have a 3.00 GPA in professional education courses, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 to be eligible for this course. Prerequisite: Prior application and approval of the Office of Field Services. University-supervised student teaching experience in a state-approved unit serving students with mild/moderate disabilities; five days per week under the guidance of a teacher certified in the area of mild/moderate disabilities. Successful completion requires demonstration of competencies necessary for licensure as a Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist. Summer placements may be available, but is limited to students with two or more years of prior teaching experience.
