Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate students, Nondegree graduates ineligible to enroll in 600/700/800 level graduate courses. Prerequisite: Completion of Advanced Analytical and Operational Core. Study of the structure and functions of financial markets. Topics include theories on financial intermediation and the banking firm, asset allocation/liability choice models, loan contracts/credit rationing, depository and non-depository financial institutions, deposit insurance, bank regulation, and financial innovation.
