HCA 625 - Health Informatics(3 credits) Prerequisite(s): HCA 515. Health Care Informatics can be defined as the management and transformation of various health data components into information and knowledge that is used by health care managers to improve the process of health care. This course develops an understanding of the concepts relevant to Health Care Informatics and the present status of information technology in health care organizations. The main focus is the use of computer-based applications to support clinical and administrative managers in health care today.
