HED 571 - Substance Abuse Education

(3 credits)

Prerequisite(s): Must be admitted as a graduate student to be eligible for this course. Provides students with basic knowledge of the physiological, psychological, and sociological effects of substance use, misuse, and abuse. Examines factors that influence substance use, misuse, and abuse, as well as their attitudes and behaviors. Drug prevention and intervention programs are examined and evaluated.
