Prerequisite(s): Must be admitted as a graduate student to be eligible for this course. Study of the relationship between nutrition and the sociocultural environment. Topics include nutrition and mass media; cancer and diet; nutrients as chemopreventive agents; drug/nutrient interactions; safety and adequacy of U.S. food supply; and world hunger.
