HIS 533 - Barbarin&Slaves Ancient Greece(4 credits) Examines the ideology of slavery in ancient Greece, with a specific focus upon Athenian evidence. It also considers how the Greeks perceived non-Greeks (barbarians), the most common victims of Greek slavery. Evidence examined will include representations of slaves and barbarians in Greek literature, epigraphy, and art.
