IME 545 - Advanced Metal Cutting

Prerequisite(s): IME 250 or equivalent with permission of instructor. The physical models describing chip-formation phenomenon are described, analyzed, and applied to various machining operations. Machine performance and production economics are discussed and applied to automated and conventional machining systems.
