MCE 660 - Lubrication

Prerequisite(s): closed to non degree grads, all undergrads and grads who are not in the college of engineering Prerequisite: MCE 501. Hydrodynamic lubrication, self-excited instability of hydrodynamic bearings, design optimization. Hydrostatic lubrication with design optimization. Elastohydrodynamic lubrication, calculation of Hertzian contact stresses, and deformation in rolling contact bearings.
