MUS 510 - The Business of Music

Prerequisite(s): Grad course eligibility for undergraduates: credits earned greater than or equal to 144 and gpa 2.75 OR level is graduate. An overview of business practices and how they affect musicians. Team taught. Topics include auditions, promotional materials, recording, concert production, contracts, copyrights, management, unions, taxes, and grant writing.
