MUS 511 - Music History I

Prerequisite(s): Grad course eligibility for undergraduates: credits earned greater than or equal to 144 and gpa 2.75 OR level is graduate. Survey of musical development, life, and thought in individual periods, with particular emphasis on style characteristics and musical literature of individual composers from the Middle Ages through the baroque period. Intended as a remedial course.
