SOC 510 - Sociology of Marriage & Family(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): Grad course eligibility for undergraduates: credits earned greater than or equal
to 144 and gpa 2.75 OR level is graduate. Focuses on contemporary issues in American family life, including mate selection, marital communication, transition to parenthood, parenting, sexuality, extended kin, family disruptions, relationship between work and family, and the effects of changing gender roles.
