SOC 517 - Sociology of Gender(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): Grad course eligibility for undergraduates: credits earned greater than or equal
to 144 and gpa 2.75 OR level is graduate. Examination of the significance of gender differences in the experiences of women and men in social institutions (e.g., family, education, economic, legal, political); the theoretical perspectives utilized to analyze these differences; and the effects of changing expectations on gender roles and identities.
