COM 240 - Professional Communication[3 credit(s)] Course is designed to expose students to the theories, skills, and strategies needed to become effective communicators in formal organizational and professional settings. Students who successfully complete the course should be able to 1) recognize and describe the array of specific business/professional situations in which effective communication is expected; 2) understand and explain the responsibilities, expectations, and dynamics of human communication in those business/professional situations: and 3) choose appropriate communication strategies and use effective communication skills in writing and presentation.
