PSC 231 - International Politics[3 credit(s)] Focuses on problems of security and strategies for enhancing security and well-being in the post-Cold War era. Basic concepts and processes of world politics are illustrated through the analysis of great power and regional rivalries. Topics include strategies and instruments such as conventional and nuclear war; alternative security strategies such as economic nationalism, diplomacy, international law, and international organization; and changes in the current international system related to economic globalization, environmental interdependence, transnational movements and nonstate actors.
