PSC 321 - Political Violence[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Must have at least sophomore standing to be eligible for this course. Background conditions leading to political violence and revolution; ideology, class, ethnicity; the state’s response to civil violence; strategies to prevent or engender violence; the destruction and reconstruction of consensus in a political system; the effectiveness of violence as a method of political influence; and the basis of political order also explored.
