HIS 523 - U.S. History, 1945-1989(3 credits) Study of the major social, political, economic , and cultural events and their interactions in the United States since 1945. Major topics include World War II, the origins and impact of the Cold War , Vietnam, the civil rights movements, movements for social change in the 1960s, and the subsequent rise of conservatism.
