ESL 504 - Communication Skills for International Teaching Assistants

The course will continue to focus on speaking skills and some teaching strategies. The focus will be on presentation deliver, techniques and pronunciation. Students will give mini-lessons to practice the skills covered. As time permits, cross-cultural communication and possible breakdowns of communication will be discussed. The final exam will cover pronunciation and other speaking skills and teaching strategies. Both the mini-lessons and final exam are videotaped for rating purposes.
