HCA 520 - Behavior of Health Care Organizations(3 credits)
Prerequisite(s): HCA 515 . Introduction to organizational behavior in health care institutions and programs including hospitals, long-term care facilities, HMOs, and voluntary health agencies. Emphasis on the governance structure, medical staff relationships, and the general and departmental operation of the facility; the analysis of significant material from the field of organizational behavior and its application to the health care environment; and the general management and health care-specific roles of the health care administrator.
