NUR 520 - Curriculum Development in Nursing[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Admission to the MSN program or permission of the instructor. The course examines nursing and educational theories, concepts, and models used to design, implement and evaluate nursing curriculum. Students will apply evidence-based design principles by creating learning activities, lessons and evaluations for a nursing course. Designed courses will be implemented in an electronic environment for evaluation by peers. The role of complex social, cultural and ethical factors influencing nursing education and student achievement are examined.
