UST 616 - Systems and Processes of Policy Development[4 credit(s)] Study of methods used by policy makers and their staffs in formulating policy instruments; the objectives policy makers seek to accomplish; how they search for alternative ways of achieving objectives; and the implications of their choices. Areas of emphasis include distributional and spill-over effects of policy, and the political and organizational problems associated with the acceptance and implementation of policy.
