UST 549 - Comparative Public Administration[4 credit(s)] Examines the approaches to and processes of public administration with a comparative perspective, in developed and developing countries. Uses public bureaucracy as a focus for comparison. Major topics will include constitutional basis and significance of international bodies on public administration, federal/central, provincial/state and local government systems, process of public policy formulation, administrative structures, and the role of career civil servants and civil society in the management of public policies.
