This course will provide a basic understanding of key issues in designing and conducting surveys. Students will be exposed to and learn to use the tools to bring survey research into their own research and professional lives. Surveys can be a useful, even vital, tool for planning and public policy. But getting reasonable answers from a survey is a tricky combination of science and art.
