DPT 707 - Clinical Application of Pain Neuroscience Education[2 credit(s)] Prerequisites: Successful completion of Year I of the DPT Program through first summer term. This course focuses on the use of therapeutic neuroscience education with various patient populations and diagnoses with pain conditions. An evidence-based focus will be used to critically analyze the benefits and limitations in the use of pain neuroscience education techniques and apply these techniques to patients in pain. The evolution of therapeutic neuroscience education; its need in physical therapy; and implementation will be discussed. Adjunct biopsychosocial techniques will also be introduced.
