FIN 612 - Real Estate Investment

Prerequisite: FIN 601. This course is designed for those who are interested in the investment aspect of real estate. The course will provide a rigorous introduction to the fundamental principles of real estate investment and their applications. Application of mathematics and statistics including probability theory, statistical analysis, computation, and simulation methods will be used in various financial models including discounted cash flow analysis, multiple factors return analysis, performance benchmarking and portfolio optimization etc. The course prepares students for future careers such as real estate consultant or investment fund managers.
