HCA 502 - Financial Management for Health Care Managers

This course emphasizes financial decision-making in the health care industry. Specific topics include analysis of financial topics, economics, accounting, and the practical application in health care across a full range of facilities, from hospitals and home health agencies to skilled nursing facilities, surgical centers and private physician practices. In addition students will be introduced to ICD-10 coding and the implications on the Affordable Care Act. The complexity of health care finance is unique from other aspects of the finance industry.
