MTH 167 - Precalculus Mathematics I[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Suitable placement test score. Detailed study of functions including linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, root/radical/power, exponential, logarithmic, piecewise-defined, and inverse functions; graphing techniques; solutions of a variety of equations and of systems of linear equations; partial fraction decomposition; solutions of polynomial and rational inequalities. Appropriate technology is used to explore concepts in this course. Only 3 credit hours of MTH 165 or MTH 167 will count towards graduation requirements.
