COH 102 - Writing in the Health Professions

[3 credit(s)]
Prerequisite: ENG 101 or equivalent. Writing in the Health Professions reinforces students’ critical reading and thinking skills gained in ENG 101, with a focus on clinical writing and research skills. In this course, students will learn clinical writing conventions and how to read scholarly texts. Students will also develop the ability to discriminate between “good” and “not good” research literature and practice clinical writing skills. Throughout this course, students will engage in a variety of clinical writing tasks (including a literature review) that include opportunities to revise, reflect, and integrate feedback.
