This 3-credit course extends the initial orientation program into a comprehensive experience that supports the personal and professional growth of first-year international students. The course develops the students’ oral communication skills and competences while orienting them to the university, its surrounding area, and the national cultural context. It fosters student success through learner-centered activities that will enable students to succeed beyond their first year at the university. It provides students with essential academic, career planning information and exposure to key services on campus.
