NUR 423 - Nursing Care of Children and Families - Clinical & Simulation in Residence

Prerequisite: Admission to the Online Accelerated BSN Program (OABSN). Corequisite: NUR 421. This hybrid clinical course provides hands-on experience in caring for children and families across diverse healthcare settings. Students will apply principles of growth and development, family-centered care, and evidence-based interventions for pediatric conditions. Clinical experiences include inpatient pediatric units, outpatient clinics, and simulation labs. Emphasis is placed on safety, communication, cultural competence, and interprofessional collaboration. Student will complete virtual simulations then attend an on-campus residency to participate in high-fidelity simulation and competency evaluations.
