(4 credits)
Prerequisite(s): MTH 281 or MTH 283, MTH 286, and at least one MTH course numbered 300 or above. This course focuses on the calculus, linear algebra, and geometry of curves and surfaces, as well as applications to engineering and science. Material covered will include the curvature and torsion of curves, Gaussian and mean curvatures of surfaces, minimal surfaces, geodesics, holonomy, and the Gauss-Bonnet theorem.
