Dance Minor

A. Technique

Choose 12 or more credits, each course may be repeated twice for credit.

Must include both modern and ballet courses by completing:

• DAN 240   (taken twice) or DAN 340  
• DAN 250   (taken twice) or DAN 350  

• Additional technique credits from:

• DAN 141 - Modern Dance II
• DAN 240 - Modern Dance III
• DAN 340 - Modern Dance IV
• DAN 151 - Ballet II
• DAN 250 - Ballet III
• DAN 350 - Ballet IV
• DAN 473 - Contemporary Dance Techniques

B. Performance/ Practicum

Choose 6 or more credits:

• DAN 100 - Performance Practicum (minimum of 2 times)
• DAN 300 - Modern Dance Repertory (Company)
• DAN 301 - Dance Composition I
• DAN 410 - Teaching Dance
• DAN 496 - Independent Study

C. Theory

Choose a minimum of 5 credits:

• DAN 201 - Introduction To Dance
• DAN 424 - Somatic Techniques
• DAN 499 - Special Topics in Dance (minimum of 2 times)

D. Dance Electives

Choose any 3 additional credits of dance. This may include DAN 140  and DAN 150 .
