Required Courses:
The minor in International Film consists of 18 credits including 6 credits in two required core classes, and an additional 12 credits of electives that must be chosen from two different departments.
The two core classes in the Communications School, which are offered each semester, provide a sound foundation for students who then choose elective courses in two additional departments, one of which must be Modern Languages (includes MLA and SPN courses). A total of 3 credits from a course or courses offered by the Department of Modern Languages are required to assure that course work has an international focus.
NOTE: Due to the interdisciplinary and international focus of the minor, students majoring in Film and Digital Media may only count 6 credits toward both their major and the minor in International Film Studies.
