Information

Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) work to provide interventions in schools as well as working with families.  It is common for BCBAs to develop support plans that facilitate academic and social success in multiple settings such as homes, schools, and the community.  In order to gain the credential of BCBA, a student must successfully complete a pre-approved course sequence that has been recognized by the Professional Standards Board of the Association for Behavior Analysis.

Cleveland State University offers the following course sequence that satisfies the Task List of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.  Successful completion of the approved course sequence does NOT guarantee a student the Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential, which is a national licensure.  Students successfully completing the course sequence must independently satisfy other BACB requirements, including experience requirements and a rigorous application process, to qualify to sit for the BCBA exam.  The exam is offered three times per year at numerous locations around the nation.  Further information for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board can be found at:  http://bacb.com/.
