Computer Science, Accelerated 4+1 BSCS/MCS

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science also offers an accelerated program that would enable students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree as well as a Master of Computer Science in 5 years.

Admission to Program

Students are eligible to apply after they have completed sixty credit hours in their undergraduate program, with at least 30 credit hours earned at CSU.

Program Requirements

Once admitted to the combined program, the student may complete up to 12 credit hours of graduate courses while enrolled in the undergraduate program. These 12 credit-hours count towards both the undergraduate degree and the graduate degree requirements, either as electives or as requirements. For more details, please refer to the department webpage: https://www.csuohio.edu/engineering/eecs/5-year-bsms-accelerated-program.

Students who are accepted for an accelerated 4+1 program may apply or transfer a maximum of 12 graduate credit hours taken while an undergraduate. No additional graduate credit hours taken as an undergraduate may be applied or transferred to the graduate record.
